![]() ![]() The external monitor itself works but Windows 10 seemingly thinks that the monitor is two separate devices, one being an audio device or something. When I come back, it will be switched back to "Intel Display" This usually occurs after I walk away from the laptop for an hour or two. I can change it back to "IDT High Definition Audio Device" but eventually Windows 10 will automatically change the audio device back to the nonexistent audio device. ![]() ![]() It does not matter if I have external speakers or headphones plugged into the laptop or not, it changes to the nonexistent audio device anyway. Obviously this is NOT an audio device and Windows says "Intel Display" in my audio settings so Windows should know that this is NOT an audio device but it keeps changing to that on its own very frequently if this monitor is plugged in. However, Windows 10 frequently changes my audio device to "Intel Display" whenever this monitor is plugged into my laptop. I frequently use a HDMI to VGA cable to use dual display with an Dell E2211Hc monitor for streaming and/or playing Final Fantasy XIV. I am having an issue where Windows 10 keeps automatically changing my default audio device to a nonexistent audio device cutting all sound from my laptop, a HP Envy 17 j177nr. ![]()

If you are reading this, chances are that you probably either use or at least have the plan to use a lot of mods. ![]() That's why just play it safe and create your copy. ![]() After all, the last thing you would want is to lose all the progress you've made throughout the game just by screwing up something. ![]() That said, it is definitely advisable to make your own copy of the Data folder before you start modding your game because you never know what will happen. Once you out the new file there, Windows will let ask you if you like to overwrite the files, which you should respond by pressing "OK". However, if you are using steam to download your game then it will be located somewhere within the steam folder. For example, it can be something like D\Program Files\Games\Fallout New Vegas\Data. Once you download the files, just place them into the "Data" folder which you will find the directory where you have the actual game installed. In fact, it works in a similar way to pretty much anything that you install outside the automatic downloaders. That said, installing this mode into Fallout: New Vegas is a pretty easy thing to do.
